PURPOSE:To improve considerably data processing per unit time by opening and closing selectively switches placed at intersections between X-direction and Y-direction paths to exchange data freely in parallel. CONSTITUTION:An I/O1-4 takes in required data from the external and turns on switches S00 and S04 to write this data in a TAM1-6. Following data is written on a RAM1-9 by turning on a switch S10. Required data are written RAMs 1-6-1-9 successively in this manner. Next, data are read out from RAMs 1-6-1-9, and for example, switches S54 and S45 are turned on to input data of the RAM1-6 and data of the RAM1-7 to a multiplier 1-11, and the product is obtained. At the same time, a switch Sx and a switch S13 are turned on, and data of the RAM1-9 and a constant are added by an adder 1-5. The addition result is supplied to the multiplier 1-11 by turning on a switch S51, and the operation of the next step is performed.
