PURPOSE:To contrive to improve the function of an air conditioner while keeping its comfortability by a method wherein its air direction is directed to an arbitrary direction by remote manupulation and the blasting air flow is decreased during the changing action of air direction by lowering the rotational frequency of a supply fan. CONSTITUTION:A supply fan 3 driven by a fan motor 2, an air horizontal direction controlling vane driving motor 4, a connecting member 5, air horizontal direction controlling vanes 6..., an air vertical direction controlling vane driving motor 7 and an air vertical direction controlling vane 8 are arranged in a blast passage 1. When an instruction to change the air direction vertically or horizontally is issued from a remote instructing part 9 by an operator, a starting pulse P, to change an air direction vertically or a starting pulse P2 to change an air direction horizontally is sent to an control unit 10 so as to lower the rotational frequency of the supply fan in order to rotate the air horizontal direction controlling vane driving motor 4 or the air vertical direction controlling vane driving motor 7 in the predetermined direction with the lowering of air flow from Q1 to Q2, resulting in directing the air in the direction that the operator wants.
