ENDLESS BELT-LIKE IMAGE SUPPORTING BODY

PURPOSE:To prevent copying quality from deterioration due to dirt in a machine or defective cleaning by using an endless belt-like supporting body at least of which surface is made of a conductive material. CONSTITUTION:An adhesive tape 10 has 5-20mm width, at least the surface of a base material 11 is conductive and adhesive is applied to the back 11b. The brush width d2 of an earth brush 12 is set up larger than the width d1 of the adhesive tape 10, electric charge on the tape 10 is destaticized by the earth brush 12 and a photosensitive body 2 is earthed by a part of the earth brush 12. A brush for destaticizing the tape 10 may be independently formed in addition to the earth brush 12 for earthing the photosensitive body 2. Consequently, electric charge on the tape 10 is removed prior to development.
