<p>APPARATUS FOR CHARGING AND DISCHARGING A PRESS Apparatus for pressing wood chips supported on movable trays into particle boards comprises press charging structure, a multilevel hot press having multilevel hot plates therein, press discharge structure and separation structure for separating finished particle boards from their associated trays. The press charging and discharge structure includes individual charging and discharge tables at each hot plate level, and the tables are pivotally connected to the press at the individual hot plate levels. Lifting structure is connected to raise and lower the free ends of the charging and discharge tables, and conveyor structure interconnects each hot plate level with its associated charging and discharge tables for transporting trays with wood chips thereon to and from the press.</p> |
