PURPOSE:To form a liquid developer which decreases the flow of an image and the double images generated around a line image or character image by incorporating a specific metallic salt and copolymer resin into said developer. CONSTITUTION:The metallic salt of the compd. expressed by formula 1 or 2 and the copolymer resin expressed by formula 3 are used in combination. The total of the carbon atoms of R<1> and R<2> is preferably in a 8-36 range and either of R<1> and R<2> is preferably an acyl group. The metallic salt of the metal selected from nickel, titanium, zirconium and cobalt is more particularly preferable as the metallic salt. The copolymer of an acrylic acid or methacrylic acid and lauryl methacrylate is more particularly preferable as the copolymer resin and is exemplified by the copolymer having 0.05:0.95-0.4:0.6 copolymn. molar ratio. The copolymer having 1,000-100,000 number average mol.wt. is more preferable. |
