PURPOSE:To display a diagnosis picture at a real time during the operation of a recorder by compressing picture data and inputting the compressed data in a picture memory in a diagnosis device provided with a display device for a diagnosed picture and the recorder of which recording speed is delayed. CONSTITUTION:The picture data of an ultrasonic echo are inputted to a compressing conversion circuit 4 to compress the picture data and store the compressed data in the picture memory 2. When recording operation is not executed, the picture data are inputted to the memory 2 without compression by switching a multiplexer 6. The contents of the memory 2 is reversely compressed by a reverse compressing conversion circuit 10 and the reversely compressed data displayed on the display device 8. The picture is recorded by a printer or the like in a recorder 12, but the recording speed is slower than that of display. Thereby, the picture data are compressed and stored in the memory 2 and the residual part of the storage capacity is used exclusively for the picture data of the recorder 12. Consequently, the real time picture can be displayed even during the operation of the recorder and the whole device can be effectively utilized. |
