PURPOSE:To control the temperature of a liquid efficiently by providing two water tanks which cool and heat the liquid and making one of them larger than the other and controlling the temperature of the liquid, which is taken out from the smaller tank by the first liquid sending means, to a prescribed temperature. CONSTITUTION:A liquid temperature controller 100 is connected to a heat exchanger 200 provided in an artificial cardiopulmonary circuit by liquid outlet and intake pipes 133 and 134. This controller 100 consists of a controller 101, a liquid sending pump 102, a water tank 110 as the heating means, a water tank 120 as the cooling means, etc., and both water tanks 110 and 120 are isolated from each other by one partitioning wall, and the second liquid sending means consisting of the second pump 151 and a check valve 150 is provided. The capacity of the heating water tank 110 is made smaller than that of the cooling water tank 120. The temperature of cold water is kept slightly lower than a required lowest temperature, and this cold water is over flowed from the partitioning wall and is heated and adjusted to a prescribed tempera ture by the heating eater tank 110, and the liquid controlled to the prescribed tempera ture is sent to the heat exchanger 200 by the first pump (the first liquid sending means) 102. |
