PURPOSE:To form a satisfactory weld zone by storing specific welding conditions in which welding start points are shifted into a control box and controlling an automatic all-attitudes welding device for piping in accordance with such conditions. CONSTITUTION:The sectional circumference of a piping is bisected. The thickness of the weld bead layer in part of one half circumference and in part of the other half circumference continuous therewith and further the thickness of the layer of the part continuous therewith are made uniform. The thickness of the part near the terminal of the above-mentioned other half circumference and part of the above-mentioned one half circumference continuous therewith is made approximately 1/2 the layer thickness in the starting part and such thicknesses are changed over approximately at every half circumference. The welding conditions in which the welding start points are shifted are stored in the control box and the automatic all-attitudes welding device for piping is controlled in accordance with such conditions.
