PURPOSE:To remove moisture and prevent generation of splashed lead and burr by preliminary-heating plate lug, connector, and mold in an electrode plate group manufacturing process of lead-acid battery. CONSTITUTION:A mold, electrode plate, and connector are preliminary-heated at 100 deg.C or more immediately before electrode plate group of lead-acid battery is connected to remove moisture on the surface of lead. By preliminary-heating, generation frequency of splashed lead in welding is remarkably reduced, and it is reduced to nearly zero when they are heated at above 100 deg.C. Preliminary- heating at a temperature at which lead alloy is melted is not preferable because splashed lead is generated at that temperature. By this preliminary-heating, generation of burr is also reduced. |
