PURPOSE:To suppress the unbalance of currents generated at switching time by varying the delay amounts of firing and extinguishing pulse by the prescribed function by a phase shifter. CONSTITUTION:GTO thyristors 14, 15 are connected in parallel, the currents flowed to the both thyristors 14, 15 are detected by a current detector 6, and the temperature of GTO thyristor junction is detected by a temperature detector 7. A gate signal from a gate signal generator 10 is applied through a gate drive circuit 12 to the gate of the thyristor 14, and applied through the first and second phase shifters 2, 4 and a gate drive circuit 12 to the gate of the thyristor 15. The first and second function generators 3, 5 vary the delay amounts in phase shifters 2, 4 in response to the outputs of the detectors 6, 7. |
