PURPOSE:To stabilize the atomization angle of the title nozzle by forming a convergent bent inner peripheral surface on the inner bottom part of a bottomed cylindrical nozzle main body, providing an orifice vertical to the bottom surface, and forming an atomization controlling surface in the lengthwise direction of the nozzle. CONSTITUTION:In a flat spray-type nozzle for atomizing a gas and liq. mixture used for coating a red-hot steel sheet and a roller conveyer, a convergent bent inner surface 1a which is concentric with the axis P of the nozzle is formed on the inner bottom surface of a bottomed cylindrical nozzle main body 1, a slit orifice 2 which is vertical to the axis P in the front view is formed on the bottom part side of the nozzle main body 1, and a tapered atomization angle controlling surface 3 for a gas and liq. mixture is formed outwardly from both side edges of the orifice 2 of the nozzle main body 1 in the lengthwise direction. Consequently, the gas and liq. mixture is atomized and spouted flatly from the orifice 2, diffused along the controlling surface 3, and injected in the form of fine particles.
