PURPOSE:To prevent the thermal deterioration of a catalyst and to diminish the thermal load of an attachment installation by providing a water-cooled pipe and a temp. sensor between the catalytic layers of a catalytic reactor for oxidizing CO contained in an exhaust gas of a sintering furnace and to the downstream side of the catalytic layers and controlling the flow rate in the water-cooled pipe in accordance with the sensed temp. CONSTITUTION:After elevating the temp. of a low-temp. exhaust gas of a sintering furnace in a heat exchanger, CO is completely burned in an intermittent catalyst reversion type catalytic reactor 8 which is packed with a CO oxidizing catalyst and capable of rotating around a rotary shaft 10 via a blower and a denitration reactor to recover the heat and thereafter the exhaust gas is discharged via a heat exchanger. In this case, plural series of water-cooled pipes 13a-13b are provided in every rotary catalytic layers and the water- cooled pipes 13m-13p are provided to an outlet side of the catalytic layers. Plural pieces of temp. sensors 16, 17 are respectively provided between the catalytic layers and to the downstream side of the water-cooled pipes in an outlet side of the catalytic layers. The water quantity of the water-cooled pipes between the catalytic layers and the water quantity of the water-cooled pipes in the outlet side of the catalytic layers are controlled so that the sensed temp. is respectively regulated to the heat resistant temp. and below of the CO oxidizing catalyst and the heat exchanger.
|
