<p>PURPOSE:To permit the easy formation of a high resolution image by combining a liquid crystal cell and signal electrode element or electrode needle as a means for applying an electric field from the outside of the liquid cell. CONSTITUTION:A transparent electrode film 42 consisting of ITO, etc. and a liquid crystal oriented film 43a consisting of polyimide, etc. are successively provided on one surface of a substrate 41a existing on a visual observation side out of the substrates 41a and 41b and the film 42 is held grounded. A liquid crystal oriented film 43b is provided to one surface of the other substrate 41b. The substrates 41a, 41b are positioned to bring the sides formed with the oriented films for liquid crystal on the inside and are sealed circumferentially by an adhesive agent after a ferroelectric liquid crystal 45 is sandwiched therebetween to form the liquid crystal cell. The electrode needle 46 is disposed on the rear of such liquid crystal cell. The liquid crystal cell is sandwiched by a pair of polarizing plates 48a and 48b.</p> |
