PURPOSE:To reduce pressure drop in a module in a membrane separation device provided with plural numbers of liquid separating element in a series in a vessel by flowing a part of the feed liquid without feeding the liquid to the surface of the separation membrane for the liquid. CONSTITUTION:In a module installed with elements 2-2''' in a vessel 1, openings 15 are formed in a sealing member 3 of the element 2 by perforating small holes to a V lip and an O ring generating a flow 11 not passing on the surface of the liquid separating membrane of the element 2, thus passing appropriate amt. of the feed liquid through the element. The opening may be formed on the main body of the element 2. Similar constitution may be applied to the elements 2', and 2'''. By this constitution, necessary amt. of the feed liquid is fed to the element 2'''.
