PURPOSE:To stabilize fitting and alignment of a plug by constituting the plug with a capillary consisting of a metallic collar, plural metallic sheets having minute holes, and a metallic pipe to which they are inserted and fixed. CONSTITUTION:With respect to a capilary 12, plural metallic sheets 14 which have minute holes 13 slightly about 0.001mm larger than about 0.125mm diameter of an optical fiber strands in centers are piled and stuck in a metallic pipe 15 so that the length of minute holes is about 3mm, and the rear face of the capillary 12 is provided with a taper part 16 which facilitates inserting the optical fiber strand. The outside peripheral surface of a front end part 17 of a metallic color 11 has <=0.001mm dimension precision, and its shape is controlled exactly with respect to out of roundness, cylindericity, surface roughness, etc. The assembled plug is so controlled that the eccentricity between minute holes 13 and the outside peripheral surface of the metallic collar 11 is <=0.002mm.
