PURPOSE:To protect a differential planet gear mechanism from its overload and obtain a power transmission control device enabling the optimum design of said mechanism to be performed, by detecting load torque of a power transmission gear and enabling its control to be performed. CONSTITUTION:A control device provides a detection arithmetic means 18 for detecting the pressure of oil in an oil hydraulic circuit system 9 and calculating load torque of a power transmission gear 12. And the device provides a torque load control means 19 controlling by a torque signal output from the detection aithmetic means 18 a driving source and its load and a peripheral driving source and its load so that the load torque is prevented from exceeding the permissible torque of a differential planet gear mechanism 2. That is, the control device, detecting the pressure of oil in the existing oil hydraulic circuit system 9 by a general oil pressure detecting device to be calculated and knowing torque in the oil hydraulic circuit system 9, enables the load torque of the whole power transmission gear 12 to be calculated, and the control device, controlling on the basis of this torque value a driving source 13, 14 and a peripheral equipment or the like can protect the power transmission gear 12 especially the differential planet gear mechanism 2 from its overload.
