PURPOSE:To record a transmitted original on a recording sheet at the recording side by providing number addition means for adding a number indicating the optional recording sequence to each one-line scanning information stored in the transmission memory circuit and optionally exchanging the sequence of documents or drawings of the transmitted originals. CONSTITUTION:Signals (b) specifying the recording sequence of the documents and drawings of the original are outputteed from an operating part 2. A processing unit CPU performs a number processing to perform recording and display in the order designated by the signal b, adding a number No. indicating the recording sequence in association with each area of each line of the transmission storage circuit 13, and sends out line data after the respective numbers. A receiving side processing unit CPU separates the numbers and the line data from the demodulated data (e), formulates address signals to a receiving memory circuit 6 in association with the respective numbers and sequentially writes one-line data following the top address designated by the address signals of the circuit 6. After storage in the circuit 6 of the picture signals for one original is ended, the stored data are sequentially read out from an address 1 and the read out data are recorded in a recording part 7 on a recording sheet.
