PURPOSE:To discharge the solid continuously without requiring a space for discharging the solid between both peripheral walls by guiding the solid deposited in a rotary drum to a discharge port along the internal surface of a peripheral wall part by a scraping vane which is disposed at the peripheral part side. CONSTITUTION:With regard to a centrifugal separator which separates liquid mixed with solid into a liquid and a solid, a drum 12 is rotated by the 1st rotary mechanism at a high speed in a counterclockwise direction, and a scraping impeller vane 18 is rotated by the 2nd rotary mechanism in the same direction at a high speed slightly faster than that of the drum 12. Liquid A mixed with a solid flows through a separating space 32 from a communicating hole 60 to a drainage 40, meanwhile liquid A is separated into solid B and liquid A by the rotation of the drum 12, solid B is scraped by said vane 18 and transferred spirally from a guide part 86 along the internal surface of the 2nd peripheral wall 28 and discharged from a discharging port 42. In this way, the solid can be discharged effectively and continuously without requiring the space for discharge.
