PURPOSE:To manufacture a grain-oriented electrical steel sheet having a small iron loss by subjecting a silicon steel slab contg. specified percentages of C, Si, Mn, Cu, Se and S to hot rolling, cold rolling, decarburization annealing and finish annealing at a high temp. CONSTITUTION:A silicon steel slab consisting of 0.02-0.12% C, 2.5-4.0% Si, 0.03-0.15% Mn, 0.04-0.19% Cu, >=0.005% Se, 0.010-0.050% in total of Se and S and the balance Fe with inevitable impurities or further contg. 0.005-0.035% Sb is hot rolled and cold rolled twice or more while process annealing is carried out between the cold rolling stages. The resulting steel sheet is subjected to decarburization annealing, coating with a protective coating material for annealing, and finish annealing at a high temp. |
