PURPOSE:To make uniform the electrostatic charge on surface and to obviate the generation of an imaging defect by constituting a substrate of a supporting structural body, intermediate layer for flattening the surface of the supporting structural body and conductive layer. CONSTITUTION:An electrophotographic sensitive body is constituted by forming a photoconductive layer 2 on the conductive substrate. The conductive substrate consists of the supporting structural body 1' on which the intermediate layer 7 is formed to embed the flaws or ruggedness formed during or after working on the surface of the body 1' and to flatten the surface. The conductive layer 8 is further formed on such intermediate layer to constitute the substrate to have the specular surface. Heat-resistant organic high-polymer materials such as, for example, polyamide, polyamide imide and polyimide or the modified materials thereof are used for the material of the intermediate layer.
