PURPOSE:To enable accurate serological examination by removing non-specific agglutination reaction due to a Forssman antibody (F-antibody) by absorbing the F-antibody in serum without performing any pretreatment, by adding the extract containing the F-antibody obtained from a kidney of an animal to serum to be examined. CONSTITUTION:Internal organs of an animal, especially, a horse is pref. used because the kidney is large and easy to obtain. Said internal organs are homogenized to be treated with acetone and the obtained extract is extracted with a solvent after dehydration while the extract is filtered and the filtrate is collected to be added to acetone and the formed precipitate is centrifugally separated and the solvent is removed under vacuum to obtain an F-antigen-containing extract. The extract is added to a salt/ phosphate buffer solution along with rabbit serum to obtain a reaction liquid which is, in turn, added to serum to be examined to make it possible to exclude non-specific agglutination reaction based on an F-antibody in serum to be examined. The solution, to which this F-containing extract was added, is stable and does not loose activity over a year or more at room temp. and, because said solution may be merely added to the serum to be examined, said solution can be used serum reaction examination simply in low cost. |
