PURPOSE:To turn off automatically a PNPN switch after a gate driving current has stopped, by utilizing the maintaining characteristic of the PNPN switch. CONSTITUTION:A titled circuit is provided with the semiconductor switch 1 of a PNPN structure which connects equivalently the respective base and the collector of the first transistor (TR) 2 of the first conductive type and the second TR3 of the second conductive type, the third and the fourth TRs 17, 18 of the first conductive type, the fifth TR19 of the second conductive type, the first and resistances 7, 15, and a circuit element 16 having a P-N junction. Also, the first main terminal 4 is constituted with the connecting emitters of the TRs 17, 18, one end of the resistance 7, and one end of the circuit element 16, the second main terminal 5 is constituted with connecting the emitters of the TRs 3, 19 and one end of the resistance 15, and the base of the TR19 becomes a gate terminal 6. Also, the TRs 17, 18 and 19, the resistances 7, 15, and the circuit element 16 are connected as shown in the figure. |
