PURPOSE:To carry out the package of krill, in high efficiency, preventing the deterioration of the quality, by treating the caught or thawed krill with salt and alum and then with an antioxidant, putting the treated krills in a tray, and packing in vacuum. CONSTITUTION:Caught or just thawed raw krills are thrown into a solution of salt, alum, etc. in a chilled water tank, immersed for about 30min to tighten the texture, and then thrown and immersed in a 0.1% solution of an antioxidant to cover the surface of the tightened krill with a film of the antioxidant. The coated krills 1 are put into a container such as tray 2, inserted into a bag 3' made of a synthetic resin film, and packed in the bag 3' in vacuum by a vacuum- packaging machine. |
