PURPOSE:To prevent crude gas from flowing out of an apparatus as well as to prevent flames from spreading to a quenching hole, by providing an opening with a valve body which is opened at the time of combustion and is closed at the time of extinction to the opposite side of an explosion quanching chamber, from the side to which a cartridge tank housing part is provided. CONSTITUTION:A quanching hole 23 at the top of an explosion quenching chamber 20 is in the open state during combustion, as a valve body 22 is pushed upward by a part 17a fitted to a wick metal part 17. The inside of an explosion quanching chamber 20 is under the negative pressure owing to the draft produced in a combustion cylinder 25, so that the air WF can be introduced into the explosion quenching chamber 20 from the quenching hole 23. When a quenching operation is taken place, the quenching hole 23 is closed by the valve body 22 at the same time when a wick 16 is lowered down to the bottom along a quenching slit 21. When the wick 16 is lowered, kerosene evaporating gas flows into the explosion quenching chamber 20 from the quenching slit 21 as shown by arrow signs WG, and explosively burns in the explosion quenching chamber 20. It makes the inside of a chamber 20 in the highly pressurized state. The pressure is released from the quenching slit 21 to a flame tray 19, blowing off the flames remaining in the flame tray 19. |
