This installation, for painting or pargetting (roughcasting) walls on building sites requiring a scaffold, comprises at least one applicator tool 13a, 13b supplied with a coating liquid coming from a tank 1 and pressurised by a pump 7 controlled by a motor 8 and provided with a device 9 for regulating the pressure. A diluent tank 14 connected to the pump 7 for the draining of the discharge pipe 10-12a, 12b is also provided. A solenoid valve 6, 18, allowing or preventing the flow of the liquid, is disposed on the suction pipe 2-5, 15-17 associated with each tank 1, 14. The installation also comprises a device for detecting the level of liquid in the tank 1. The actuation of the pump 7 and of the solenoid valves 6, 18 is controlled by a remote-control device 19 which also includes a member for controlling the device 9 and for displaying the pressure, as well as a member 27 picking up the signal provided by the detecting device and converting it into a luminous or audible alarm. <IMAGE>
