PURPOSE:To enable the hydrolysis of various conjugated steroid compounds in a short time, by using hydrolase of conjugated glucuronide and conjugated sulfuric acid obtained by heat-treatment and ammonium sulfate fractionation of the centrifuged supernatant liquid of crushed guts of apple snail. CONSTITUTION:The guts of apple snail is extracted, disintegrated with a mixer in the presence of an acetate buffer solution, and centrifuged to collect the supernatant liquid. The supernatant liquid is subjected to the heat-treatment, ammonium sulfate fractionation and if necessary alcohol treatment, to obtain a hydrolase liquid of conjugated glucuronide and conjugated sulfuric acid. The conjugated hydrolase has stable beta-glucuronidase activity as well as sulfatase activity, and is important as an enzyme for the treatment of unstable steroid compound decomposable by acid decomposition process.
