PURPOSE:To improve heat resistance and to reduce cost by casting an iron material of a low carbon content into an ordinary cast iron. CONSTITUTION:The plate-shaped casting piece 1 corresponding to the shape of the part where heat resistance is intensified is prepd. of the iron material having the carbon content lower than that of a cast iron. Fixing legs 3 for fixing the piece 1 to a casting mold 1 are preliminarily provided to such piece. The piece 1 is fixed into the mold 2. The cast iron consisting of ordinary components is poured into the mold 2 to form the part having the excellent heat resistance. The effect is higher as the material having 0.3-0.6wt% carbon content is used as the low-carbon iron material. The heat resistance is improved by the above-mentioned method without using a high-grade cast iron. The improvement in the heat resistance and the reduction of the cost are thus made possible.
