The present invention relates to the optical transmission of information and, more particularly, the production of optical emitters exhibiting perfect linearity for all types of signals. The invention consists essentially in arranging between the input terminal and the said optical emitter means for exactly compensating for any distortion exhibited by the said emitter when the signal which is applied to the said input terminal grows.
