PURPOSE:To enable to maintain a good cleaning function for a long period by giving a conductive property to at least a part of surface of a blade except an edge part contacting with an image substrate under a pressure, thereby preventing an increase of contaminants at the part in which the image substrate contacts with the blade under the pressure. CONSTITUTION:The cleaning blade 3 is contacted with the sensitive body 1 in the direction of a counter. One of edges 3a of said blade 3 contacts with the surface of the sensitive body under the pressure. The conductive coating 6a-6c is formed on the three outer surfaces of the blade except the nearest part of the edges 3a. Said conductive coating material formed on the surface of cleaning blade has <=10<8>OMEGAcc, preferably <=10<5>OMEGAcc volume resistivity. The coating is performed by vapor-depositing a metal such as carbon black or Al or by spraying or dipping a dispersion of conductive powders of In2O3 in a liquid resin on the surface of blade and adhering thereon. |
