PURPOSE:To effect severe control to cope with the actual condition in a room under considering indoor circumstance or degree of contamination of atmosphere additionally by a method wherein an amount of atmosphere operating means, which operates based on the detecting result of a personnel sensor, is provided to take the necessary amount of atmosphere in and correct the amount of atmosphere based on the detecting result of a gas sensor. CONSTITUTION:The amount of atmosphere to be taken into a room is operated in a main control unit 12 based on the information of number of personnel in a room, which is detected by the personnel sensor 11, supposing that the necessary amount of atmosphere per one person is 25m<3>/hr. The result of operation is inputted into a damper control device 13 to control the opening degree of respective dampers D1, D2, D3 automatically and introduce the necessary amount of atmosphere into the room 6. The information of concentration of CO2, measured by a CO2 sensor 14, is inputted into the main control unit 12 to correct the amount of atmosphere to be introduced so as to increase the amount of atmosphere necessary for one person in case the degree of contamination of indoor air due to CO2 is higher than a reference value while the amount of atmosphere to be introduced is corrected so as to decrease the amount of atmosphere necessary for one person in case the degree of contamination is lower than the reference value.
