The invention relates to a seat belt winder with a device for locking the spool of the belt as well as with a return tensioning device for the belt which triggers automatically in the event of danger, with a control disc joined to the locking device which, in the event of locking, can rotate relative to the spool of the belt, being limited by a stop for actuating a stop rachet and is connected to a mass disc representing a trigger sensor responding to the strap which, in the event of triggering, produces the relative rotation between the spool and the control disc, via its mass inertia. According to the invention, the mass disc 16 rests on the control disc 12 by means of a coupling element 19 so that when a predetermined return tension acceleration is exceeded, the mass disc rotates relative to the control disc, overcoming the coupling force.
