The invention relates to foundry work. The machine comprises: - a transfer structure 34 comprising at least one vessel 1 with an open top capable of pivoting on a horizontal shaft 35, - a station 5 for filling the vessel with a mixture of binder sand, - a station 10 for compressing the sand by means of an upper elastic membrane and of a pressurised fluid, - a hardening station 41 and a mould-release station 21 comprising at least one discharge station 26.
