PURPOSE:To make possible the recovery of the delivery of liquid drops in a recording head to be carried out positively, by setting a suction amount per one operation such that a volume occupied by the liquid in a recording head, a suction amount of a unit time and a suction time to be the specific values. CONSTITUTION:The volume V (m<3>) occupied by the liquid in a recording head is the volume occupied by the liquid of a section from a filter 4 to an orifice 6, and a suction amount per unit time Q (m<3>/sec) is the amount per unit time of the liquid sucked from the orifice, when a pressure difference is occured between a rear end of the filter and a front end of the orifice, and a suction time is assumed as T (sec), then the suction amount per one operation is set to be 1<=QT/V.In this manner, the recovery of the delivery of liquid drops carried out positively. |
