发明名称 MEASURING METHOD OF ENDOTOXIN
摘要 PURPOSE:To measure endotoxin by irradiating a ray to a sample liquid mixed with a reagent for gelation of the endotoxin and fluid to be inspected and discriminating the point of the time when the quantity of the transmitted light thereof decreases on progression of reaction and the ratio of the quantity of the transmitted light with an initial value attains a specified value in a >=75% and <=97% range as the point of the time when the sample liquid gels. CONSTITUTION:The ray is irradiated from a light source 5 through a stop 3 to the sample liquid mixed with the liquid to be inspected and the reagent for gelation of the endotoxin in a cuvette 1 for measurement. The ray transmitted through the liquid 2 passes the stop 2 and is converted to the quantity of electricity corresponding to the quantity of the transmitted light by a photoelectric detector 6. The detected quantity of the transmitted light indicates the change of the liquid 2 with the reaction time. The point of the time when the ratio between the quantity of the transmitted light decreasing on progression of the reaction and the initial value of the quantity of the transmitted light attains the specified value in the >=75% and <=97% range is discriminated as the point of the time when the liquid 2 gels. The time from the point of the time when the sample liquid is mixed and the point of the time when the gelation is discriminated is determined as the time for gelation. The concn. of the endotoxin is measured in accordance with the preliminarily obtd. relation between the concn. of the endotoxin and the gelation time.
