[Also in Division B5] A multifilament yarn used as the weft yarn of a tyre fabric which is extended in the weft as the tyre is formed, consists of highly crystalline polypropylene of specific gravity between 0À90 and 0À94, has a denier of 250 to 350, a yield point at between 0À7 and 1À5 pounds load (preferably between 0À9 and 1À2 pounds load), and at between 10 and 30% (preferably 15 to 25%) extension, and a uniform extensibility of at least 50%. The yarn may be made by melt spinning the polypropylene (see Heading B5B).
