PURPOSE:To provide a low-toxic carcinostatic agent containing 5-fluorouridine-5'- diphosphate glucose or its salt as an active component. CONSTITUTION:A carcinostatic agent can be produced by using the compound of formula I or its salt as an active component. The compound of formula I can be produced by (1) phosphorylating the compound of formula II with trimethyl phosphate or triethyl phosphate in the presence of phosphorus oxychloride, (2) reacting the resultant compound of formula III with a cyclic secondary amine or aromatic amine of formula RH (R is morpholyl, imidazolyl, etc.) to obtain the intermediate of formula IV, and (3) reacting the intermediate with glucose-1phoshoric acid. It is administered parenterally (e.g. by intramuscular injection, hypodermic intravascular injection, administration to the tumor, etc.) in various forms.
