In a vehicle seat for at least two people consisting of an understructure with supports and bars connecting the latter on which at least two seat surface parts are arranged with backrest parts hinged thereto, at least one seat surface part being mounted on the bars so as to be transversely displaceable and fixable, in particular for omnibuses, a technical problem consists in the requirement to design such seats for installation in the vehicle both on the right hand side and on the left hand side since the seat surface part which is on the window side in each case does not need to be displaced transversely. Due to the measure that the bars (19) are of straight-line construction with regard to their height above the upright surface (10) of the seat (14) and both seat surface parts (15, 16) are mounted via the bars so as to be displaceable thereon in principally the same manner, the advantage is achieved that essentially symmetrical vehicle seats are produced which can be installed both on the right hand side and on the left hand side and only the production of a single understructure is required. In this case, the bars (19) can be constructed, in particular, as rails and the seat surface parts (15, 16) can be installed so as to be displaceable thereon by means of sliding elements (30a) gripping around the rails, the sliding elements of one seat surface part being arranged, joined together in the manner of a frame, preferably in an integral frame unit (26, 27). <IMAGE> |
