USE:A plant growth regulator, an intermediate for drugs and agricultural chemi cals. PREPARATION:A compound shown by the formula II is reacted with 2,2,6- trimethyl-4H-1,3-dioxin-4-one, an addition product of diketene or diketene and acetone, to give a compound shown by the formula I.
