摘要 PURPOSE:To improve thermal efficiency and mechanical efficiency, by arranging a cylinder to be located in a deflective position with respect to a crankshaft so as to provide a phase differenced motion between the crankshaft and a connecting rod and obtaining a piston performing the resultant motion synthesizing said two phase difference motions. CONSTITUTION:An engine arranges its cylinder in a position tilting a cylinder center line (b) with the crossing point, obtained by a vertical line (a) passing through the center (e) of a crankshaft and a circle (c) drawn by a rotating radius of the crankshaft, serving as the center. In this way, the cylinder center line (b) is prevented from passing through the center (e) of the crankshaft. And when the engine arranges the cylinder to be deflected, for instance, in a direction opposite to the direction of rotation of the engine, a phase of motion of a connecting rod is delayed from the phase of motion of the crankshaft by a degree corresponding to the angle deflecting the cylinder, here a piston performs the resultant motion synthesizing these two motions having a phase difference.
