<p>A water cleaning apparatus having a plurality of parallel-arranged cleaning units each of which is provided with cloths of active carbon in a tensed state, among which cleaning units the water to be treated is passed so as to be cleaned. A plurality of cleaning units each of which is provided with cloths of active carbon in a tensed state are arranged in a vertically-spaced manner in a cleaning chamber in a cleaning tank which has an inlet and an outlet, and a rotary shaft is inserted rotatably through the central portions of these cleaning units. An electrode rod is supported at one end portion thereof on this rotary shaft, and sparks are generated between the electrode rod and cloths of active carbon to enable the adsorbed matter to be removed. This water cleaning apparatus is used in a water purification plant for the industrial or household service water.</p> |
