Lashing rod (10) for putting into an anchoring opening (11, 12) of a container corner (13, 14), with hook-in fittings (15, 16) which are arranged at both ends and which each have a peg (17, 18), extending essentially transversely to the rod (10), and a locking projection (19, 20) fastened to the peg (17, 18). The locking projections (19, 20) each extend at a distance from the rod (10) approximately in the longitudinal direction of the same as well as transversely thereto and transversely to the pegs (17, 18), the width and height of the locking projections (19, 20) in each case being dimensioned in such a way that, in the clamping position, they reach behind the marginal area of the anchoring opening (11, 12) of a container corner (13, 14) into which the hook-in fitting (15, 16) is inserted. For increased safety, the hook-in fitting (15) arranged at one end of the lashing rod (10) is designed to fit the anchoring openings of a bottom container corner (13) and the lateral anchoring openings of a top container corner (14), and the hook-in fitting (16) arranged at the other end of the lashing rod (10) is designed to fit only the end anchoring opening (12) of a top container corner (14). <IMAGE>
