PURPOSE:To manufacture easily a steel bar and a wire rod for the cold forging which is small in the deformation resistance by annealing a steel bar or a wire rod consisting of carbon steel, carbon steel for a mechanical structure or alloy steel contg. C and Ti of the specified composition quantity and thereafter performing the special heat-treatment thereto. CONSTITUTION:After annealing a steel bar or a wire rod consisting of carbon steel, carbon steel for a mechanical structure or alloy steel contg. 0.01-0.60% C and 0.010-0.070% Ti, the aging treatment is performed thereto at 200-500 deg.C. In the above-mentioned steel, the following composition is preferable wherein 0.01-0.60% C, <=0.35% Si, <=1.20% Mn, 0.030% P, <=0.030% S, 0.010-0.070% Ti, <0.10% Sol Al and if necessary, one and more kinds of 0.4-3.0% Ni, 0.1-1.6% Cr, 0.15-0.70% Mo and 0.05-0.35% V are contained and it consists of the balance Fe with the inevitable impurities. Thereby the aging curing in the cold rolling is prevented and the steel bar and the wire rod having excellent deformation performance are obtained. |
