PURPOSE:To prevent oil temperature rising caused by rotating members and an agitated oil in a speed changing mechanism by arranging the suction port of an oil strainer adjacently to the rear bottom wall of an oil pan to lower an oil level to the lowest limit when a vehicle is at hill-climbing. CONSTITUTION:An oil strainer 404 comprises the left end part 442 indicated in the drawing which is connected to a valve body 403 provided near to an output oil path 441 toward an oil pump 150 through a gasket 431, a joining part 445, the third folded back part and the fourth one 449. In addition, a suction port 447 is provided in the extension of the third folded back part and along the output side 412 of the bottom wall 411 of an oil pan 401 indicated at the right end in the drawing, and a suction port 448 is formed at the right end in the drawing.
