In the mass production of optically readable disk-shaped information media of high storage density, holders which in each case engage only in the centre hole of the workpieces are required for the transporting and for the machining of such information disks. In the use of such peg-shaped holders, which for releasable fixing of the information disks are provided with an integrated spring catch in the receiving peg, there is the risk that the penetration of machining material, in particular sputtering metals, into the guide grooves of the spring catch will soon cause it to display clamping effects and become unusable. To avoid such faults, it is proposed to work the steel spring clip (8), guided in the head part (4) of the receiving peg (1) in a groove (7), from a spring plate in the form of an upwardly open heart shape and to adapt the width of the guide groove as exactly as possible to the thickness of the steel spring clip. <IMAGE>
