The invention relates to a locking device for folding pallets which consist of a baseplate and foldable end walls. By means of the locking device, a plurality of folded pallets can be interlocked with one another for the purpose of empty transportation. In order to prevent the locking device from projecting over the outer contour of the pallets in the position of use, i.e. when the end walls are erect, it can be pivoted from an operating position into a rest position in which it is accommodated inside the respective end wall. The locking device is coupled to a blocking cam which only allows the end wall to be erected completely when the locking device has been brought into its rest position.
