In order to improve and simplify the serving of the individual, cut pieces of cake from the cake plate of conventional type, the cake plate is formed by individual cake servers which lie fixed loosely on a basic body and, by actuating a movement mechanism, are all moved simultaneously and evenly radially outwards. Due to the enlarged spacing, thus produced, of the individual cake servers from one another, effortless easy serving of each individual cake server is guaranteed, which can now take place both by one person and simultaneously by several people. The individual cake servers are identical and can be exchanged for one another.
