PURPOSE:To provide high speed line segment generation and smearing by providing an expansion circuit expanding the specific bits in the fixed pattern register to one word and a circuit indicating the effective position of the expanded data. CONSTITUTION:The fixed pattern is stored in a register 10 and the bit positions are dispersed in a bit address register 17. Since the highest place bit d0 of the register in this state is 1, one data of a word produced by a data expansion circuit 11 is stored in the first latch circuit 15. Corresponding destination data are stored in the second latch circuit 16. With the data of the first and second circuit 15, 16 as inputs, a computing element 21 computes only the data of the designated bit position for writing in the destination through a third latch circuit 22. During transfer of the next address, the contents of the register 10 are cycled one bit towards left through a barrel register. The register indicates the next bit position by a modification circuit 18. The similar sequence of operations is repeated. |
