PURPOSE:To facilitate document correcting operation and contents confirmation while relieving the load imposed on the eye by providing a voice dictionary, voice synthesis part, voice conversion part and a speaker and outputting document information by voice in the operation contents confirmation or the like. CONSTITUTION:When outputting the voice contents confirmation during documentation, the KANA (cursive form of Japanese syllabary) code of the pronunciation of the portion encircled by the specific code is outputted from a document memory 10 via line 102 to a voice synthesis part 12 under control of a documentation and editing part 11. In the synthesis part 12, the words or characters are extracted and retrieved from a voice dictionary 8 to effect voice synthesis. The synthetic voice data are converted in a voice converting section 5 into voice signals so that the voice is outputted from a speaker 6. By reproducing the document information as voice in this manner, document correction and contents confirmation can be made easily while the error apt to be overlooked by eyes can be grasped by ears to relieve the load imposed on the eyes. |
