PURPOSE:To know incoming contents even at a distant place by setting a sound recording/reproducing means under a reproduction mode in response to the codes sent from different telephones and transmitting the incoming record contents to a relevant telephone set. CONSTITUTION:It is discriminated that an MPU5 is set under an incoming reproduction mode when the incoming recorded contents are reproduced from a memory telephone set. Then a magnetic card 12 is put through a card slit 4. The MPU5 checks the coincidence between the code stored in a memory area and the code read out of the card 12. If coincidence is obtained between both codes, a tape recorder 81 is set under a reproduction mode.
