PURPOSE:To obtain the titled composition giving a uniform and beautiful satin- finished coating film having excellent acid resistance, etc., by compounding a specific amount of carbon black to a film-forming component composed of a specific alpha,beta-ethylenic unsaturated polycarboxylic acid resin and an amino resin. CONSTITUTION:The objective composition is produced by compounding (A) a film-forming component composed of (i) an alpha,beta-ethylenic unsaturated polycarboxylic acid resin having a second-order transition point of -10-+20 deg.C and (ii) an amino resin (e.g. melamine resin) with (B) 2.0-30wt% carbon black. The amounts of the components (i) and (ii) are preferably 5-95pts.(wt.) and 95-5pts., respectively.
